Jerk Tofu
Jerk Tofu
For many, tofu has a unique and acquired taste. I recommend this dish especially for those who might have some reservations about tofu. The jerk seasoning adds so much flavor to the dish, it guarantees satisfaction.
Ingredients
Est. time: 40mins
Yield: 4 - 6
1 pkg firm regular tofu
3 tbs of
JCS Garlic/Escallion Allspice
3 cloves garlic
1-3 habanero peppers or
scotch bonnet pepper
4 escallions (green onion)
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 vinegar
1/2 cup
CPC Mushroom Soy
1/2 small white onion
4 sprigs fresh
thyme
1 cup of JCS
Jerk Seasoning
10oz
Instructions
In a blender mix the Allspice and all other ingredients.
Cut tofu as desired. With spoon spread
jerk seasoning
over tofu.
Be cautious handling seasonings as they are very hot.
Tofu is best if marinated over night.
Cook as desired (on BBQ grill, in the oven or stove top).
Add salt to taste.
Best served with a side of rice or vegetables.
